Any issued equipment for the Volturnus Mission?
skeinsuit perhaps? with a "Castro" style hat?

Skein suit, and a standard kit of your specialty.

We might consider a house rule on grenades. Under AD rules they have no mass and if you are lugging 1-2 of them that's really no big deal but what if you are carrying a case of 50 grenades?

I played in a PBP game that had a house rule for grenades which I dont exactly remember the numbers for now but I think it was 10 grenades equals a 1kg.

Just a thought as its not likely during the Volturnus campaign that we'll have all that many grenades available to us, at least initially.

Thank you. Two prices listed in the book, 150 cr or 250 cr?

I use the 150 one as that seems about right for what is included if you buy it separately.

Just to be picky do Dralasites get coveralls too? They are not supposed to like to wear clothes and just use utility belts.

thinking through what my character will be doing on the mission I've come up with an item of equipment I'd like to pick up during the craziness that will precede our departure from the Serena Dawn. I did not think of it before but if its possible to find this item in the scramble we're about to be involved in then I'd like to obtain it.

Zeb's Guide File Computer- essentialy an Ipad for recording information- Good observation is key to good science and since I'm one of the two scientists types I'd like to play the role. I assume that in the larger cargo hold of the Serena Dawn is our vehicles, temporary shelters, food suplies, generators, computer support and etc. If I cant obtain one then my character will rely as much as possible on low tech options: roughly tanned skins with charcoal for writing instruments.

Yes, Jedion I was actually thinking about that. I believe there should at least be two of these units you describe--possibly even three--among the group. I will assume there will be 3. Here are the specs, for those of you who don't want to look it up.
Wait, i need to redownload Zebs. I wil post specs later, I am working on a game post right now and my wife is wanting to watch Wallander.

I swear she'd leave me for Kenneth Branaugh.

I love Kenneth Branaugh so I'd probably leave you for him as well.

I was thinking that perhaps when it comes to searching the medical area that one of these file computers could be located.

The book says 15 cm square which is neither here nor there as this sort of device could be a number of dimensions however it says 5 cm thick which is 2 inches roughly and while Eastland came close to the modern Ipad/kindle in describing this item, when was the last time you saw one of these things 2 inches thick except on Star Trek when some hot young thing handed one to Kirk for him to sign? I suppose we could change 5 cm to 5 mm but that seems a bit thin and fragile to me unless the case was made of the mysterious federanium.

Price is 120 Cr and the wt it 1 kg

I think the price is fine but the wt. should be changed to that of a chronocom along with the thickness reduced to 1 cm. audio and screen keyboard imput. a 250 Cr model has a chronocom as integral equipment and can be encoded with your chronocom number and on planets with a data net its able to access the GalacticpediaNET

I guess my two items are the Techkit and Robocom kit plus I got the doc's saline for him.

Kahn dropped the case of saline solution in the storage areas on deck two but did not look for the packing crates with the rest of the equipment.

As to extra items Kahn assumes/knows that the expedition is outfitted and that the basic equipment that they need is actually in the main cargo hold so other than the saline solution that he intends to require every to carry in a cargo pocket and a practice zamra ( which was intended for killing time on ship but will have to be used on planet to practice the throwing weapons skill) he doesn't want much.

He assumes he will have computer support at their base once it's set up and this probably means the file computer that he desires however if he spots one he will grab it on the assumption that everything is going to pot and they might not end up with their equipment from the hold.

Well we shall see what we end up getting after the higly successful landing. But if I need to add to my list I would like a spare SEU for my laser pistol and an all weather blanket.

Funny OOC story from a table top playing of this module- brand new player to the game wanted a pry bar for his tech character but a bigger one than in the tech kit. One that could be used as a weapon as well. I said sure and we was all proud of that pry bar. Till a funnel worm attacked and I rolled for the member of the party that it attacked which turned out to be the robot that was with them. the robot was being sucked down into the funnel and no one wanted to risk their skin for a robot even if it was lugging all their extra stuff so he tossed the pry bar to the bot to defend itself and I said roll dice and he rolled 90 something and we all looked at each other across the table for a very silent moment knowing he was all kinds of proud of the pry bar and I said, "You rolled poorly." the pry bar went down the funnel buried in sand. if he had dug for it I would allowed him to find it but he didn't. Still it was kind of funny to see him fume over his poor roll though I did plan for another pry bar to be found at the first pirate outpost- a little bit of targeted treasure.

"Digging through the various odds and ends scattered about in the garage of Outpost One, you find a large pry bar covered with dried funnel worm blood, robot oil, and sand..."
