Once inside the reactor room, Leo asks a question that is directed at Ting, but broadcast to all on his chronocom. "Do you want me to see if I can't shut this place down?"

Maria and the other bots back up Malcom. Or just Maria, if the bots don't want to come along.

OOC: Sebastian, while trudging to the fence line, acidentally steps inside and activates a left-over Tetrach bap bin, immediately teleporting himself to the rest of the party.

"Figures," grumbles Gren.

"Thank you for calling RedBox Haulers, New Pales' cargo transportation specialists. Point to point, into orbit, or back down, we'll get your cargo where you need it. How may we help you?"

"Hello miss," Gren says to the Red Box receptionist in his authoritative first sergeant voice. "My name is Grenomenorach, I'm Special Security with OE Enterprises. I need to speak with your dispatch manager immediately."

Once directed to the dispatch manager, Gren will summarize the events at the base, emphasizing that Red Box is not being held responsible and that the RB shuttles are undamaged and safe. He will insist on knowing the name and registry data of the ship receiving the gold. If necessary, he will direct them to contact via subspace OE HQ on Pale (or Pale Station, or on the Morning Glory docked at Pale Station - depending on OE's setup) in order to confirm Gren's authority with OE. He will further tell Red Box that the two shuttles on the ground will be allowed to lift off after OE's gold has been unloaded. Any talk of the costs incurred by empty RB shuttles will be referred to OE's Legal Dept.

Leo begins to quickly look around, trying to locate a terminal that he can interface with. His immediate plan is to locate an emergency shut down protocol. He assumes a facility such as this would have such stations handily located in case of some calamity such as a dangerous malfunction…or a brazen attempt by pirates to hijack and plunder the facility.

Mal takes the two combat bots and joins up with the lone security bot to enter the south end of the building. Arriving at the door, he finds it locked but the override access codes provided by Lee before you left the Morning Star still work and you are only delayed a round getting into the building. Upon entering you see empty hallways going all the way forward and into the first branch of rooms. The robots fan out according to Mal's instructions and Cerebus Delta opens the door into the medical wing finding that small hallway empty as well. Any choice of which rooms to enter first?

@Will: Do you want Maria to go down and join up with Malcom entering from the south or enter from the north or east door. You are currently at the north east corner of the building.

Leo sits down at the reactor controls and starts working out out to shut down the system. It turns out to be a fairly standard type 3 reactor/generator system. Again, the computer initially locks him out but the provided override codes work and after a couple of turns he has full control of the system. What do you want to do with the power system?

@umungus: Ting can either wait for him or head out. Remember you have three security robots with you as well.

Sebastian is just inside the fence line. He can either head up into the Dart or huff it across the last 90 m to where the action is  .

The receptionist starts to give Gren the standard lines about being able to help him directly but seeing the rage staring to build in his face decides that she doesn't need the hassle and quickly transfers him to the dispatch manager. The manager is polite and listens to Gren's information. He informs Gren that a message was sent to OE headquarters on Pale station just a few minutes ago and they are awaiting a response. Until then, he won't provide any information on the contact that booked their services. However, he thanks Gren for protecting the shuttles on the ground and not damaging them and tells them that the shuttle pilots have been told to hold tight but to protect their ships if necessary.

It that case you are coming around the to south end of the building as he enters. You're about 1 turn behind him and Malcom and the bots are inside as you round the corner of the building.

"Hecules Alpha, Cerebus Delta, initiate room searches," commands Malcom. "Start on the left and proceed in a counter-clockwise rotation. Doze aggressive biologicals prior to initiating lethal means of subdual. Destroy aggresive machines. Confirm orders." Mal follows on Cerebus Delta's tail, using the 'bot as a shield between him and anything that might attack. His electorstunner is still out and he flicks the setting to 'damage'. He primes himself to be ready to get a shot off before the robot can use the doze grenade, if necessary.

Sebastian huffs it to the Dart and will drop off the empty machine gun. If Maria is still inside, he'll ask if she wants to join the party. Otherwise, he'll resume the additional 90m to the action afterwards.

Gren signals Leo on the chronocom while on hold for the dispatch manager. "Not sure if we need to shut down the whole place down. Can you just disengage the processing plant?"

Gren grunts with satisfaction. Red Box will soon have a response and have all of the information necessary to clear the Trouble Shooting Team of any legal entanglements. He returns to concentrating on scanning the garage doors and north of the base.

Assuming Sebastian uses the intercom to call for Maria... "Sorry," replies Gren. "No one here but an old yaz. Sounds like the rest are collected around Building Alpha."

Based on his earlier post and a lack of response, I'll assume Ting is waiting in the reactor control room with Leo. They and Gren are slightly ahead, time wise of those entering the building so here's a partial turn advance to get everyone caught up.

Sebastian enters the compound and runs up the cargo ramp of the Dart to drop off his machine gun. Getting the work from Gren that no one else is onboard, he heads back down the ramp and crosses the rest of the compound and passing down the open area between buildings B & D.

Hercules Alpha starts at the first door on its left and starts to check the rooms reporting in turn that each are empty until it has checked all the rooms on the first side passage. Maria enters the building just as it is leaving the last room and meets up with the 'bots as Hercules Alpha reenters the main passage.

Malcom and Cerebreus Delta start to work their way through the medical bay and find that as advertised, it is very similar to the one on the Morning Glory. Room 16 is a medical storage locker that is stocked with a variety of medical supplies. Room 17 is a medical lab and room 15 is an OR. All three of these rooms are empty.

However, upon entering room 13, Malcom sees a Dral in a tattered OE uniform restrained on the bed. From the looks of the dral and based on Malcom's basic medical training, he can see that the dral has been pretty roughed up and probably has less than half of his STA left. He could use some serious first aid and minor or major surgery. He can also see that the dral is conscious

As Malcom enters the room, the Dral starts to struggle against his restraints but no sounds seem to come from the bed, not even the sound of sheets rustling. Malcom realizes (INT check passed) that there must be a sonic screen activated on the Dral.

Just as Gren is finishing up his conversation with the RedBox Dispatch Manager, the computer pops up a message:

**Warning: Vehicle approaching from the north, range 3 km

this is accompanied by an image through the Pod Laser's gun sights of an explorer leaving on of the mine entrances and headed toward the compound (It is coming from the eastern most mining site on this map)

That message is almost immediately followed by another:

** Warning: Two aircraft approaching from the southwest, range 200 km

This is accompanied by a radar display showing two aircraft racing towards your location. They seem to be moving at about Mach 20 but slowing. It looks like they just dropped into the atmosphere from orbit.

Malcom looks into the Dral's eyespots and holds his left hand up to his lips in the universal sign of 'shush'. He taps his chronocom then holds up a single finger. Lastly, he gives the dral a 'thumbs up'. "Let's go," he says to Cerebus Delta and shuffles with the robot back into the hall. Upon seeing Maria, he says wearily, "Ah, the cavalry has arrived! Robots, continue clearing operations. Hercules Beta, advance to next intersection and hold security. Cerebus Delta and Hercules Alpha, clear the dining room, pantry and kitchen - same rules of engagement. Go!"

To Maria he says, "There's still a human from the fence-line that is unaccounted for, and maybe a yaz too. I think one of the base drals is restrained in the med-section. He's in about the same condition as me. You wanna take the 'bots while I check on the dral?"
