Gren is uneasy about the fact that he can't get a positive ID on the incoming and double checks his weapons and ammo, making sure they are locked and loaded. He then quickly polices up the MG that Sabatian dropped off and gives him a quick call on the comm "Hey Sabatian, do we have any ammo for the MG?"

OOC If memory serves me right, we had added a weapons mount near the entrance of the Dart.

BIC Gren attaches the MG to the mount.

Hey, all I was just checking the on line status of all my games to keep up with the action if stuff was happening. No rush if everyone is still laz-ing about for the summer- I'm not planning to start my game I GM up till the end of August. I just didn't want to leave anyone hanging if there was active posting.

Okay, we're going to get this going again if we can round everyone back up. To save you all from having to reread several pages of the thread here is a short synopsis of where the characters are and what they are doing:

Gren - in the engineering/gunnery station on the Dart. He is monitoring the approach of two inbound aircraft which he believes to be militia fighters inbound at high mach numbers dropping in from orbit as well as an explorer approaching from the mine area with two passengers that do not match the description of any of the base personnel. He is getting ready to check the cargo bay area to make sure that the extra machine gun and heavy laser are mounted in their weapons mount.

Sebastian - just entered the compound as is looking for a high point to provide cover. There are two towers still intact that have heavy lasers. All the machine gun towers were toppled. There is also extra ammo in the Dart's cargo area for his machine gun if he wants to go there to get it.

Leo and Ting - in the Reactor Control room (building C on the map). Leo just shut down the automated ore processing plant and they are getting ready to exit the building. They have three security robots with them.

B'Loone - in the area between building C and D. He is headed to the robotics shop with the damaged robots in tow.

Malcom and Doog - in the medical bay. Doog has just received Malcom's Laser Rifle and secured the sonic screen that was rigged the bed he was restrained on. There are pieces to a medkit in the room but there is nothing to carry them in. Across the hall is the medical storage room where he knows that there are several medkits as well a couple of power packs that can be used with the screen (if the pirates didn't remove them). They are ready to head out of the room.

Maria and the robots - Just outside the door to the office area. The door was just closed and locked from the inside. She just ordered the combat robots to "Deal with them!" and they will attempt to force entry into the room.

You've cleared most of the compound except for the ore processing room and the robot repair area in building D and the gym and office/computer areas in Building A. You've killed or captured 7 pirates and quite a number of robots and know that there is at least one bad guy in the office/computer area and probably two more in the explorer headed toward you.

Let me know what you want your character's next actions to be and we'll get this rolling once again.

Malcom exits the room where he found Doog and returns to the main hallway, electrostunner at the ready and set to stun. He pauses there if Doog decides to raid the store room. He looks down the hall to check on the progress of Maria and the robots and keeps an ear peeled for the sound of the exterior door opening (one can never be sure where all of the bad guys are afterall).

If Doog skips the store room, he leads the way down the hallway to back up Maria and the 'bots, telling Doog to "watch our 6".

Malcom makes his way to each member of the Trouble Shooting Team, injecting each with so much Stimdose that their players feel it. :D

Since the Dral coming toward Maria is a PC and a member of the base staff, I'm going to ignore Will's comment.

Malcom and Doog enter the hallway just as the combat robots cut loose on the door, both firing a 10 SEU blast at the lock. Both hit and a section of the door (and adjacent frame) are destroyed. The door doesn't move but it looks like the only thing that can keep it shut now is someone holding it from the other side as there is a ~5 inch hole where the locking mechanism used to be. You hear muffled swearing from the other side.

Gren gets no immediate reply to his identification query but that may be because the inbound craft are still coming in fast and hot and are surronded by ionized gasses from the atmosphere. The comm may not be getting through to them due to interference from the plasma.

B'Loone arrives at the door to the robotics repair center.

Leo and Ting exit the generator control center and see B'Loone across the compound.

Sebastian decides that he needs the high ground and starts toward the closer of the still standing towers on the north side of the compound.

(For those of you who didn't post, if you want to change your actions let me know.)

Hey, I'll see if this vintage ME PC can to tolerate this board awith its feeble capabilities. I do have a new email, my old one got locked out. I'm now at (ritchiegunn at yahoo dot com).

Sebastian is heading to the north tower, auto rifle ready.

"Robots! Push two doze grenades through that hole!" Malcom commands as he makes his way down the hall to join Maria.

"Damn!" Maria swears, just barely checking the impulse to shoot the blob with Malcom. "You could at least warn a body!"

She kicks down the door.

B'Looone ushers his entourage of damaged 'bots into the repair facility, and takes a quick look around to see what he has to work with in here.

B'Loone enters the robotics facility with his brood in tow. Inside, the tables are a little cluttered with tools and components but he can see immediately that this is a well stocked and high class robotics lab. One wall is lined with shelving and storage systems and contains just about every type of tool and component you might need when working on the base's robots. Across the center of the room are four different workstations that could be used to hold and work on robots of various sizes. Two are designed to handle standard sized robots and the other two are larger and could accomodate even a heavy duty robot. Each station has a computer console for interfacing with the robot being worked on as well as lift and restraint systems to hold the robot in place and rotate it to an desired position to aid in working on it.

This facility does for the robotics skill what a hospital does for a medic. +20 to all skill rolls.

Ting and Leo cross the intervening space and open the doors to the Ore Processing facility. Sebastain heads to the north tower and begins to climb up.

Responding immediately to Malcom's commands as Maria is recovering from her surprise at seeing the Doog, the combat robots each quickly move past the door and toss a doze grenade through the hole they blasted in the door. You hear a shout from inside the room and then silence. Either everyone inside was knocked out or are holding their breath.

Turning away from Malcom and Doog, Maria aims a solid kick at the door to knock it in. Unfortunately, she misses the door as it swings open of it's own accord. Instead of connecting with the solid door, her foot land solidly in the abdomen of a human male trying to escape the room. Her kick knocks his breath out and he instinctive gasps for air. Unfortunately for him, the concentrated doze gas from the room is billowing out around him and he takes in a lungfull and collapses in the doorway.

Maria quickly backs away as the doze gas flows out of the room and starts to fill that end of the hallway. She got a breath of it but not enough to affect her athough she does feel a little dizzy. The feeling quickly passes and the doze gas quickly settles out of the air. Approaching the room, Maria, Malcom and Doog see the human male slumped in the door way. Inside the room there is another human male slumped over one of the computer consoles on the left side of the room. On the right a Vrusk is collapsed at another terminal. It looks like all of them succombed to the doze gas.

From the terminal the human is sitting at you hear a Yazirian voice calling out over engine noise in the background. "Anders, what is going on in there? Frag it, Anders, answer me." It looks like he was operating the base radio and talking to someone.

Malcom moves into the room and looks for the mic and the push-to-talk button. Hearing the engine noises, he assumes the person on the other end is in the explorer Gren warned about. Once he finds the the right button, he activates it. "Anders is out. You're being tracked by the weapon systems on that big ship on the landing pad. Just keep coming in and surrender or we'll open fire. Over."

He turns to Maria. "If you want to blast something, you better get out to the Dart, I can almost guarantee that they'll try to run."

B'Looone can't hide a (Dralasite equivalent of a) smile when he sees the fine facilities that he has to work with. He promptly settles the least damaged 'bot in an appropriate repair bay, and consults the workstation there. "Now, this won't hurt a bit," he says to the 'bot.

[OOC: is there any means of communicating with any of the base's 'bots through these workstations? Is there any information in an accessible database (or repair records) about what other 'bots the base has?]

Malcom wrote:"Anders is out. You're being tracked by the weapon systems on that big ship on the landing pad. Just keep coming in and surrender or we'll open fire. Over."

"TANJ!" comes the reply and the connection goes dead.

Sebastian climbs up to the top of the north tower and finds the remains of an OES-01 bot. Glancing out towards the on-coming explorer. He sees it start a wide right turn and start heading back towards the mines. Gren also notices the turn through the cameras on the Dart.

Ting and Leo begin their search of the now inactive ore processing facility. The room is stifling hot as they are surrounded by large furnaces and ore in various stages of being ground up, melted and refined for shipment. There are hundreds of nooks and crannies in the room but they quickly realize that most of them are either two small or would be too uncomfortable (hot, high probablility of getting smashed, etc) to actually hide in. It is quickly obvious that is a fully automated facility and definitely not designed to have living beings running around inside. They estimate there are about 2 cargo units worth of gold being processed at the moment.

After hooking up the first bot to the repair station, B'Loone takes a minute to look around the facility some more. Along one wall he finds a terminal with two displays. One is a status listing. It has 36 entires, twelve each for OES-01 security robots, OEM-01 maintenance robots, and OEX-0 mining extraction robots. The status lists most of the security robots as off-line and B'Loone quickly realizes that the number on-line match the count of the ones with him. The same is almost true for the maintenance robots. However, there are two listed as active which he can't account for. Of the mining robots, they are all listed as on-line but two are desigated "Out of Contact" whatever that means. The second screen looks like a standard Robot Management command interface and could probably be used to interact with the active robots.

Malcom, Maria, and Doog are all standing in the main office/computer room of the base with the three pirates that succumbed to the doze gass (2 human males and a Vrusk female).

Malcom calls Gren on his chronocom. "Gren, the approaching explorer are with the bad guys. They know we retook the station. Blast them if they don't surrender."

He turns to the robots. "Robots, inspect the remaining rooms in this station. Report any contact. Same rules of engagement."

He turns to Doog as he bends down to search the nearest being. "You know computers, right? Check out what they were doing. I doubt it can be good."

He'll search each one, mumbling something about adding a boat load of flexi-cuffs to the teams standard gear.
