Looking back and seeing the explorer emerge from the smoke, Malcom raises his hand in a classic hitchhiker's motion. All the while wishing in the back of his mind that this could have been a night time mission.

B'Loone continues heading NW until he pulls abreast of Sebastian and Malcom where he hangs a left and cuts to the SW. (Per his earlier post, B'Loone is headed towards a point about 100m in front of Sebastian and Malcom unless he posts a change in plans. He'll get there in two turns.) Just as he cuts south the 'bot in the north tower fires but the turn throws off his aim and the laser blast goes wide.

Sebastian cuts loose with Chatterbox as the smoke cloud engulfs him and Malcom. Unfortunately the shots go wide as the targets near the fence go prone and take cover behind the fence line.

The Dart fires once again, and B'Loone sees an Albedo screen flash on the Yazarian in the middle of the line of robots.

Sebastian will keep his finger on the trigger, and let Chatterbox do the talking. As long as the spray is keeping the baddies busy, his old friend is doing the job.

Continue firing at the beings near the fence.

Malcom estimates B'Looone's path and plots an intercept course. "Time to go buddy!" he calls to Sebastian. Mal jumps up and runs into the smoke cloud. He trigger's his chronocom to dial Maria. "The explorer's getting into the danger zone. Make sure the ship is targeting heavy weapons!"

Sebastian doesn't like the idea of permitting all those baddies an opportunity to draw a bead on the explorer as it approaches the compound.

"Go on, I'll provide cover fire so the explorer can get closer! You guys can pick off the targets as you get in range!"

Now he wishes he'd req'd a ground cycle or something...

Sorry about the delay. I didn't realize it had been so long.

Gren fires and once again connects with the tower in the middle of the north fence. His shell carves a big chunk out of the base of the tower but it is still standing. The bot in that tower returns fire but misses.

The Dart fires at the same tower but it's shot also misses.

Sebastian opens fire blindly once again through the smoke cloud and amazingly once again hits targets. This time he hits the Yazarian he hit last time (fourth dot from the top) and two of the OEM bots. The Yazarian is probably hating life right about now. ;)

Malcom jumps up and races forward to attempt to intercept B'Loone and the explorer. B'Loone continues to head toward the front of the smoke cloud and begins to slow down.

B'Looone is getting a little nervous now that he's getting close to the shooting. To distract himself, and try to regain his composure, he calls back to Gren, "when we come to a stop, deploy two of the combat 'bots. They're already programmed to head towards the complex and shoot at anything that shoots at them. Hold the back door open long enough for Malcolm and Sebastian to get in."

B'Looone keeps the explorer going as fast as he can safely drive it until he has it directly between the compound and his comrades. He'll turn the nose of the explorer toward the compound (so that Malcolm and Sebastian can enter through the back door), and then bring it to a screeching halt.

Most likely you tell Tink or Leo to get ready as Gren is out the top hatch firing his recoilless rifle.

Sebastian seems to have the distance dialed in just right as once again his blind shot through the smoke cloud connects with targets, this time hitting all for bots and the Yazarian in between them (the 5 southernmost targets on the map).

Malcom comes sprinting out of the second smoke cloud and sees the Explorer coming to a stop about 25m in front of him. He is greeted by laser fire from the bot in the middle of the southern fence line but the shot sails over his head.

B'Loone pulls the explorer up in line with the northern fence partially screening the vehicle from the 'bot in the northern fence line tower and jams the brakes bringing the vehicle to a stop about 850m from the eastern fence. As soon as it stops, Leo starts opening the rear door to disgorge two of the bots to make room for Malcom. The 'bot in the northern tower fires again but misses, hitting the ground ahead of the explorer where it would have been if B'Loone hadn't hit the brakes.

The Dart's laser fires again at the Yazarian between the robots along the fence line (the same one Sebastian hit this round) and you see his Albedo screen light up once again.

Here are the positions of everyone at the end of this turn. I've labeled the bad guys (Y=Yazarian, H=Human OEM &OES are bots). The first smoke cloud has reached its maximum size and has started dissipating, the second one reaches max size next round. Sebastian has one more burst left in his current ammo belt before he has to reload.

Malcom sees the rear door opening and figures it's for him to get in. He knows that Sebastian plans to stay in his support position trying the the baddie's heads down. He yells to those inside the explorer as he runs up to it. "CLOSE IT UP! I'M GOING UP TOP! SEB'S STAYING PUT!" He'll repeat as necessary, including an order to the 'bots to stay on board if it looks like they're about to leave. Once he reaches the explorer, he climbs to the roof and lays prone, grabbing the back of he roof hatch and bracing his legs against the roof luggage rack. Just before he's totally secure, he yells to B'Looone. "GO! GO! GO!"

Malcom completes his dash to the Explorer and scrambles to the roof.

Taking advantage of the temporary lack of motion, Gren fires his recoilless rifle once again at the north tower. The shot just catches the edge of the tower but it is enough to finish undermining it and it topples over taking the 'bot inside with it.

Simultaneously, the 'bot in the toppling tower and it's counterpart in the south tower both fire at the Explorer but both miss as well.

You see motion in the rubble of the tower in the center of the east fence line as the robot that was in the tower pulls itself free of the debris. At the same time the laser on the Dart lashes out and blasts it into dozens of pieces.

At the northeast corner of the compound, you see a beat up OES-1 bot reach the edge of the fence line. The Yazarian closest to it yells something and it changes direction heading down along the fence instead of out toward the Explorer.

Sebastian fires his last round from the currently loaded ammo belt but to no effect as the shots hit the dirt in front of your opponents.

Your four security robots on foot are now about 50m behind Sebastian (although none of you can see them for the moment because of the smoke clouds). They will reach his position and pass him on the next turn.

@all: Just a reminder in case you missed it, the fence line on the east (closest to you) side of the compound is completely on the ground except for a little bit (about 20m) closest to the NE corner (where Maria fried the tower with the Atomic engine instead of the tower getting toppled). You could drive right into the compound if you wanted to.

@Maria: The Dart has been on the ground for exactly 60 seconds at this point. What system are you working on repairing, hull, maneuverability or engine acceleration? All three were damaged.
