You're being generous. :) I always hired out the PC's for 20cr a day for the mission. The logic was that the NPC rates were more than what you'd pay the characters. Kind of like hiring an employee vs a contractor. Plus it starts everyone out equally.

Samlangdon wrote:perhaps so. Maybe 10%...let's allow for a 10% bonus to everyone to ring in the new year. I am feeling charitable, and its not like you'll have access immeditately to the cash anyway....a little end of the year financial planning.

Well that will be an incentive to add their character sheet to the wiki so that it can be edited with their new cash.

Yes, we'll anyone signing up for this crummy mission (knowing what's in store) should be well compensated. Ha!

Samlangdon wrote:oh, indeed. the module was not clear...lol, of course there must be renumeration. It is supposedly a three month mission, so I will check the tables in the AD book and find appropriate spacer rates for such a mission.

Any idea what the pay would be for an Agent?

i think you brought up a good point, NPC hirlings should be at a premium, because they are essentially filling in skills the players don't have.

OK so, 2,500 credits up front and the balance due if we make it back?

I would say buy weapons and the like but, they all get locked up in the locker on the bridge.

That would be 2500 cr but no -50% to cover general living expenses as per AD since we are not going to incur living expenses?

EDIT: Welcome aboard Corkman.

@ Rat traveler Nice job with the insight to vrusk society. I will however require that you compile the 238+ Rules of Acquaintance for the Frontier Explorer. :o Seriously, though do you think you could do a write up on the various rules with some examples (like the ones you used in your post) and submit it to the zine?

Gideon is looking into stock options...he'll probably end up trying to coordinate a commodities brokerage with the various races on Volturnus.

OK I have based the Rules of Aquaintance, Rules of Friendship and possibly the Rules of Interrogation on our old Friends the Ferengi. Guess I could start an entry next to the Yazirian Language primer if you like.

Yes...I'd say there is a common room on 3rd deck, journey class. Wouldn't you say that's where it is Jedion (since it is your Serena dawn maps this game is using).

And please, as to assumptions: go ahead and make them if they are generally consistent with common sense, the Star Frontiers feel, or what you already know. I do not mind anyone making logical reasonable assumptions be made that spur the action along, and provide a good locale for good rp.

OK, I just didn't want to do that because some people I've gamed with will tell you, "If it isn't there, it doesn't exiost."

Now, I can let Kriss out of his room for some artificial light and food...

Dalmar then activated his chronocom calling the rest of the survey team. "Heads up folks. Dalmar here. I'm down in the machine shop and a bunch of those faceless armed marines just marched by headed toward engineering. It looked highly suspicious and I've got a bad feeling about it. Be on your toes." After sending the word out, he picked up a big hefty wrench and walked over to the door. Counting to 10 he opened the door and stepped out into the hall.

Not to be a dummy but, Kriss is a known member of the survey team that no one has met (no fault of anyone but his personality) and he would be included in this call?

Yes. In the vein of reasonable assumptions just being discussed, I wrote in a computer file on each of the members (i.e. the parts of their character sheets that would be "known") of the survey team. I'd assume this included chronocom numbers so all the PC's are included even if Dalmar hadn't met them yet.
