Cruisers in 3721 decelerate to speed:5, moving forward to 3221 facing west. Destroyers decelerate to speed:5 and will move forward one and turn toward the cruiser vector in the first hex, correcting in the next hex so as to all stack in the same hex together and thus ending in 3221 as well. Open fire with all energy weapons at 60K range against the station in 2520, all ships recieving the head on bonus with their cannons.

Carriers move forward at speed:8 to 3313 facing west, all fighters prepped for launch if needed. No target in range for them as of yet.

Depending on which row the station will be in at MPO firing resolution (where it is at now? or CW from it's position?) The ships that will not be in a head-on shot will manuever to get all ships pointing in a row facing the station (MR2 should be sufficient). All ships decellerate at maximum rate. This will either point all ships straight at the station on the row that the LC's are on, or the row that is just under the planet. Time to let them have it big-time.
EDIT: OOPS! Shadow posted it! Do his!

According to how I always read the sequence, the non mover fires defensive fire first, right? .....My worms brace for impact...

In the SWII board game we played, it was assumed the Sathar would stay at EB range and just take out the station one shot at a time. No need to get within it's weapon range.

Map after Sathar move:

The UPF team can declare their target. They get one LB shot as defensive fire at one of the eight destroyers or four cruisers. Pick your target and I'll roll up all the damage.

UPF will target the first LC in the stack.

As the Sathar vessels pull into range, the laser battery on the station opens fire on the lead Sathar cruiser but the shot goes wide.

In response, the Sathar unleash a devastating volley of return fire. Two of the cruisers' Disruptor Cannons rip into the station, one tearing into the hull (14 pts, 44 left) and the other igniting a disastrous fire cutting the stations DCR in half and damaging it's combat systems. Miraculously, none of the Sathar destroyers' laser cannons connect with the station.

A full dozen laser battery beams reach out toward the station but only three of them connect, all of which rip into the station's hull (4, 8 & 7 HP respectively, 25 HP left). The dozen electron batteries don't do any better with only two hitting the station. Again both tear into the hull (6 & 9 points, 10 remaining). Only one of the four proton battery shots from the cruisers connect with the station, knocking out its ICM launcher.

-- End Sathar movement phase, begin UPF movement phase --

As the station emerges from the debris cloud of the first volley, it is still functioning but barely. The Sathar cruisers quickly move to rectify that situation once again open fire with their Disruptor Cannons. This time three of them connect, all with the hull (7, 14 & 19 HP) causing the station to disintegrate before their eyes (-30 HP) (And two of those shots would have done double damage if it weren't for the +20 modifier for the DC :) ).

The final shot from the station as it falls apart again goes wide.

The first blow against the Frontier has fallen and the Sathar now control the K'tsa-Kar system.

No bragging rights earned, that's for sure. I mean it was pretty one sided...a laser battery versus a dozen or so warships. It's like trying to infiltrate the former Soviet Union with a BB gun.

Aw hell, we're Sathar...modesty is not our high point.
